My volunteer this year said that is it the closest thing to heaven on earth. And that is coming from a volunteer. I think that's cool. Those who go and give their time to help kids have a good time are some of the most amazing people on this earth to me. It could be so hard for them and yet they still love it and continue to come back. For the campers it is even better. It is like going to a place where you can be whoever you want to be. It is as if you are in a entirely different world than you are in the rest of the year. You get to be surrounded by these amazing kids who have all these challenges and yet still manage to make so much of life. The rest of the year it can seem like you're the only one, but then that week comes and you get to remember that you aren't. The volunteers and the campers alike are just so great. So are the group leaders and the rest of MDA. Thank you all for the experiences I got to have. MDA camp is amazing. My volunteer this year said that is it the closest thing to heaven on earth.
